Core Human Values

If you look at humans in general, there are some values that can be looked upon as being common to all of us (Core Human Values).

 

Core Human values are the core principles and beliefs that guide how we behave, interact with and treat others. These values form the foundation of what is considered moral, ethical and respectful in society. They are universal in nature and promote harmony, compassion and a better way of living.

Why Are Human Values Important?

-  They foster positive relationships

-  They create a more just and peaceful society

-  They promote personal growth and self-respect

-  They ensure mutual respect and understanding in diverse communities

Responsibility is the ability to take ownership of one’s actions, duties and decisions.

It means being accountable for what you do and following through and follow up on commitments, whether in personal, professional or social settings.

Examples:

-  Cleaning up after yourself in a shared space

-  Completing tasks on time at work or school

-  Taking care of family and loved ones

-  Admitting mistakes and learning from them

-  Following rules and ethical principle

Being responsible builds trust, reliability and a sense of integrity in both personal and professional life.
