My Story

Anders Dyne, born in 1957 in Sweden

Examined from Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg Sweden 1981.

My first “real job” was at Volvo Trucks, where I started in 1981 as a laboratory engineer specialised in Gear Teeth, in the Transmission laboratory.

After that I continued in managerial positions, including Manager for the Transmission laboratory and Department Manager for driveline (engines, transmission, cardan shafts, rear axles) at After Market Volvo Trucks.

I became responsible for a section working with Spare parts and service information for Powertrain (Engines, Gearboxes, Rear axles, Prop shafts and so on) producing Spare parts assortment, Spare parts Catalogues and Servíce information.

Then I came to the team responsible for the development process for all Volvo products (Trucks, VCE, Volvo Busses and Volvo Penta). In this position I went all around the Globe teaching people the development process (Gothenburg Lyon, Greensboro, Japan, China and Australia).

I was also member of a team performing assessments of different leading groups applying LEAN. (We were in Gothenburg, Lyon, Greensboro, Curitiba in Brazil and India).

All-in-all, I have a considerable experience from leadership, process development and educating in different environments and cultures.

Since Swedish is a very small language, we have to learn other languages from an early age, English being the first one. In the beginning of my working life, for a short period of time, I took a job in Vienna Austria at Tyrolia ski bindings, so my German is ok but burried quit deep in my mind. In case you find my spelling somewhat creative, it is due to the fact that I am dyslectic and I have problems with reading and writing. But it has not stopped me this far!

Since around 2000 I have MS and stopped working 2017. Previously my hobbies were sailing, skiing and dancing. For obvious reasons I cannot do any of those anymore, so now I enjoy listening to music, preferably live.

I am married to Cia and we have two daughters and two dogs.
